Antistatic Agent SN
Jienuo
Basic Introduction & Overview:Antistatic Agent SN
Antistatic Agent SN, with the chemical name Stearyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride (cationic type, CAS 86443-82-5), is a red-brown viscous liquid at 25℃. It efficiently eliminates static electricity in polymers, textiles, and coatings, featuring good compatibility and heat resistance (stable below 180℃).
Product Advantage
High Efficiency & Long-Lasting
It provides excellent antistatic performance, with a quaternary ammonium content of 48±2% ensuring long-lasting static elimination. Effective even at a dosage of 0.2-0.5% by weight, it meets diverse industrial needs.
Wide Solubility & Compatibility
Easily soluble in water, ethanol, toluene, etc., at room temperature, and compatible with non-ionic/anionic surfactants (avoid anionic ones). Works well in 5% dilute sulfuric acid and is stable in multiple solvents.
Heat Resistance & Versatility
Stable below 180℃, suitable for high-temperature processing of plastics like PVC, PP, PE. Applicable in textiles, rubbers, coatings, and more, making it a multi-industry solution.

Product Uses
Textile Industry
Ideal for antistatic treatment of synthetic fibers (nylon, acrylic, polyester) during spinning. Can be used alone or with non-ionic/anionic surfactants, formulated into emulsions for fiber silk static removal.
Plastics Industry
Effective for antistatic modification of PVC, PE, and rubber products. Mix with a small amount of plastic powder after dissolving in a solvent, then process as usual (dosage: 0.5-2% by weight).
Coatings & Adhesives
Serves as an antistatic additive in coatings and adhesives, improving product performance and processing smoothness. Also used in polyurethane foam as a homogenizer.
Product Operate Guide
For textiles: Dissolve Antistatic Agent SN in water or ethanol, formulate into an emulsion, and immerse fiber silk in it for static removal. For plastics: Dissolve in a solvent, mix with plastic powder, dry, then add to the entire plastic powder for processing.
FAQ
Q: Can it be used with anionic surfactants?
A: No. It's compatible with non-ionic/cationic surfactants but not anionic ones, as it may cause incompatibility.
Q: What's the shelf life?
A: Two years when stored in a cool, ventilated place.
Q: What's the recommended dosage?
A: Generally 0.2-0.5% by weight for textiles, 0.5-2% for plastics, adjustable based on specific needs.
