DE-2 belongs to C8-C10 mixed fatty alcohol ethoxylate series with 2 moles ethylene oxide addition, registered CAS No.68334-13-4. The physical form is colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid at room temperature. Its ultra-low ethylene oxide value endows strong lipophilic performance, which makes it superior in dissolving mineral oil, mechanical grease and organic oily substances compared with high EO alcohol ethoxylates. It owns excellent wetting, penetrating and emulsifying functions, and shows great compatibility with all kinds of ionic surfactants without stratification or flocculation. This product is a fundamental auxiliary chemical for industrial cleaning, agrochemical, textile and electroplating manufacturing industries.

DE-2 only contains 2 mol EO with HLB ~6.5, strong lipophilic, oil-soluble, barely soluble in pure water;
High EO models (DE-5/DE-7) have 5~7 mol EO, HLB 10~13, hydrophilic, fully water-soluble.

Application Scenario Separation
DE-2 fits oil-rich systems: heavy-duty metal degreaser, pesticide EC emulsifier, oil phase dispersant;
DE-5/DE-7 fit water-based formulas: daily laundry detergent, water-based textile scouring agent, light oil cleaning fluid.
Industrial Metal Degreasing Agent
Add into solvent-based or semi-aqueous degreaser formulas, quickly penetrate and dissolve cutting oil, drawing grease, anti-rust oil on steel, aluminum hardware surfaces; improve dirt stripping speed and reduce cleaning residue.
Pesticide Emulsifier
Serve as primary emulsifier for oil-based pesticide emulsifiable concentrate (EC), stabilize mixture of pesticide active ingredients and mineral oil, prevent stratification under low & high temperature storage conditions.
Textile Industry Auxiliary
